Apple Silicon has provided a major increase in the raw signal processing capabilities available to developers and users. In this talk, we'll cover topics such as:
- writing realtime-safe code
- how to configure audio realtime threads to obtain maximum performance
- how to measure performance meaningfully
- memory reordering differences to be aware of when porting x86 code
- out-of-process Audio Unit hosting, for compatibility with plug-ins with different architectures from the host, as well as for the stability of host applications
