I am an Embedded linux dev at Elk Audio AB, Stockholm. I am a musician on the sides and try to write some music when I am done writing audio drivers.
At Elk, we have created a linux based operating system that is in my opinion the most low-latency audio platform out there.

Elk Audio OS allows to use a general purpose cpus running linux for pro audio solutions. It allows you to easily develop your audio applications using frameworks such as Juce & VST plugins but with low latency of a DSP chip.
